Pisang goreng (fried banana) is one of our most popular desserts. Unfortunately, we’re not able to make it for you for a little while, but if you do miss it, we have a solution right here for you! It’s not that difficult to make fried banana at home. How to do it? You’ll read all about it in this nice recipe by our manager Rafaël.
- 3 large plantains
- 300 grams of self-raising flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 1 level teaspoon of salt
- 500 milliliters milk
- 1 egg
- soy oil
Cut the plantains in five equal pieces. Put the self-raising flour into a bowl and add the milk and the egg. Mix until you have a nice, smooth batter. Mix it with the vanilla sugar and the salt. Heat the oil to 160 degrees Celsius. Dip the plantains into the batter and fry until golden brown.
TIP: very good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
